Magister’s Henrik Martikainen visited Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to present his paper “Dynamic Range Aware LTE Uplink P0 Optimization in HetNet” at the IEEE ICC 2016. The research for this paper was done in cooperation with Nokia during the years 2014 and 2015. The presentation was well received.
Hundreds of publications from different fields of telecommunications were presented at the event during technical sessions, keynotes, workshops and panels. Although Martikainen’s presentation was about LTE, the topic that interested him the most during the conference was 5G, as he is currently doing 5G research in Nokia’s project. This was also arguably the most discussed topic in the conference. The standardization of 5G has just been started in the 3GPP, so the discussion is now very active on many fronts.
